Tactics is sponsoring the November 2011 Southeastern Oracle User Conference event

In supporting the Oracle user community, Tactics is sponsoring the Southeastern Oracle User Conference event.  New for 2011, several regional and state Oracle groups, including the Virginia Oracle Users Group, the Eastern States Oracle Applications Users Group, the Hampton Roads Oracle Users Group, the North Carolina Oracle User Group, and the former Southeastern Oracle Users Conference, have come together to co-host a combined conference—the Southeastern Oracle Users Conference, Thursday, November 3 and Friday, November 4 at the Sheraton Imperial Hotel in Raleigh/Durham, NC.

In addition to sponsoring the event, Tactics is also contributing to the event content by presenting at the event with Co-Founder Jeff Kraft's paper titled "R12 E-Business Tax: A Procure-to-Pay Upgrade Perspective".  This paper has been presented at the Houston South Central Oracle User Group in September 2011. This presentation will provide an overview of an upgrade from 11i to R12 for sales and use tax in the Procure-to-Pay modules. We will cover the pitfalls of using the upgraded Tax Regimes, the setup of a new Tax Regime, and how to use both in combination. We will also discuss how to configure the R12 applications to behave like 11i in regards to the assignment of Tax Codes in Purchasing and Accounts Payable.
